  • cucumbers?

I am a novice gardener but luckily everything has gone really well and everything is looking big and bushy BUT my cucumbers just seem to be dying I cant work out why. Two of them I planted out too early and the frost killed them then had 2 left so thought once the frost had past Ill put one outside and keep the other inside just incase as no more seeds and love cucumbers lol. The one I put outside hasnt died exactly but one of the leaves has turned yellow? Im worried this one is also going to dye do i pinch the dead leaf off and leave the others and hope for the best or should I bring it back in? I must sound mad as Im really worried about my little cucumber plant lol but Im enjoying it sooo much any help would be great

Oh eck I've put mine out today as it was so warm, but I have covered them with fleece in case it's cold overnight. Fingers crossed then.

Mine are still in the GH. The day temperature was fantastic, but I've just been out and it's perishing!

I tried jogging, but I couldn't keep the ice in my glass.

Hi cupcake, I did fleece them, but you're right it was cold last night and they look a bit pale today, it might have to be third time lucky if these wither!

Ive now tried putting them out again as its been so hot and are doing well now. I even have little yellow flowers on them now! Do I leave these on there now as I heard somewhere I may need to pinch the flowers out?

Not sure Jax, you'll have to wait for an expert. Mine are still not at that stage yet, in fact I'm still wondering whether to start some more off as they don't seem to be moving at all. I must have been far too early. It's my birthday today, so next year I'll remember to sow my cuke seeds on this day!

aww hsppy birthday and mine arent very big in all honesty when they started flowering I thought they were dying as the same colour as the leaves that died but had a eureka moment and turned the pot around and saw it was actually a flower. I was sure I had dyed all of my blonde out hehe

Thanks Jax. I took the fleece off tonight and put it back on after a quick feed. I think I can be patient for another few days to see if they will make it after all.
