  • Crop rotation with a difference?

To cut a long story short, I hope to be taking on two rundown allotments next to each other!
I would like to grow strawberries and flowers as well as the normal rotated vegetables and may even throw a chicken run into the equation as well!

Total area is approximately 18m X 40m.(720 square metre) Three greenhouses, and three sheds/chicken houses are already there. I will be growing hard fruit, soft fruit as well!
Just a bit unsure of how many sections to divide plot up into?

Have your chickens as part of the rotation - make the most of that free fertiliser! An eighth of a plot is a nice size for a 'bed', both my half plots are in quarters.

Is there anything there worth salvaging? Or are the plots totally over grown?

I child-proofed my house, but they still manage to get in.
