Has anyone heard of, or grown this please? I have a very old copy of The Garden for Expert and Amateur (Daily Express publication, no date) that describes it as Portugal Cabbage. Sweeter than cabbage, and likened more to seakale. Would I be best contacting one of the heritage seed sellers?

English Name: Couve Tronchuda, Portugese Kale seeds
Description: A splendid Cabbage-like plant growing to 2 ft. or more across, with closely set leaves with thick, white, fleshy ribs forming a loose kind of head. The leaves and head are very tender to eat, and the midribs, said to have a distinct and agreeable flavour, cooked like Seakale. It withstands frost well – indeed it helps to develop the flavour – but it is probably best grown like a half-hardy annual.
