| I'm doing the same with well rotted cow muck as an experiment! Hopefully once the potatoes are harvested I can tip out the compost and use it as a mulch on my beds

| Ideal Grandpa, Potatoes are a hungry crop and the moisure will be ideal. If you've got any old compost bags fill those and use it for home made growbags as well as Toms will love it.

| As each horse produces about 1 growbagsworth of equipoo a day (we have 3 horses), just about everything in my patch is grown in the stuff although I mix it with soil to make it more manageable. Today I filled the courgette beds with a mixture of rotted equipoo and loam. I'll also put the tomatoes out at the back of the same beds tomorrow. Fingers crossed. |
