  • Is this Comfrey - if not what is it?

    Hi,

Have found this plant on my plot, I have looked on the internet and it looks very similar to comfrey (I am hoping it is) can anyone identify what this plant is from these photos?

OK another go at posting photos!

Any help appreciated. - I am not sure these photos are going to work!

Thanks for looking everyone, I appear to have sorted the photo problems now, used photobucket rather than my blog.

Top piccy certainly looks like comfrey. Slightly furry leaves?

Be warned - I've had a bit of a mishap with a bottle of home-made comfrey feed this evening and I can't get rid of the stink - it must be good stuff if the smell is anything to go by! I think it's the smelliest I've ever made!

                      Oh No Comfreyfan LOL!

I now just need to find out how to make it LOL, I am so happy that I have some but am clueless how to make it. I know you have to put leaves in a bucket of water covered, but for how long? How many leaves to how much water? etc etc

All I know is it is apparently wonderful smelly stuff.

Pour off liquid into watering can, top up can with water, water the plants.

When I ran out of bran I used my Bokashi compost bin and stuffed it full of comfrey leaves kept adding more as they squashed down, the liquid that drained off from the bottom was neat comfrey and I diluted it a lot.

And make sure not to tip any over yourself!
