Hi folks,

Had a brainwave today - made a poly tunnel out of strips of plastic tubing (donated by my nephew) who says he can get me loads more - a sheet of plastic found on the allotment left by the previous owner, and some really sticky tape (which I made small tunnels in the plastic to house the plastic tubing) - left enough piping to bury in the ground - it will probably fly away with the first gust of wind - taking it up the lottie tomorrow to try it out...........fingers crossed (I will put a piece of string on the end just in case it turns into a kite!!!

Call me tight - but I think what they charge for tunnels is rather steep.

Hey - if this works - I could even make some out of fleece and mix and match as the season goes!

Anyone any good ideas on saving money?

I know what you mean about the prices. I saw Geoff Hamilton make some on GW, showed the clip to my FIL and he said he could make some for me and he just keeps looking round until he gets the price right down for me. Lovely man my FIL.
