| Can anyone identify a caterpillar(?) for me. I've asked around my allotments and a few people have seen them but don't recognise the type. The beastie was about 1 1/2 inches long and a bit over 1/8th inch wide, so quite small. Markings were alternating black/bright yellow hoops. Any ideas? |

| Some of them are yellow rather than Orange. It's probably a variant of the cinibar moth. If you've got ragwort on your plot you are supposed to cut it down as if it spreads to pasture land it's poisonous to livestock. I used to have to help mt friiend once a year go around & spray all the ragwort to kill it off incase his lambs ate it.
