    Cabbage all year

    What varieties would i be looking at to achieve a constant supply of cabbage throughout the year ?

    Don't really want to plant all the same and then have a glut at one point in the year.

    Different types of cabbage mature at different times of year. I've recently sown winter / savoy types (eg January King) for eating over winter and will sow spring ones (eg Durham Early) for next year in the summer. I don't grow them for summer (prefer other veggies in summer) so not so sure about that.

    Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

    Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

      I grow Primo or Minicole for Autumn. Like Alison I tend to have other vegetables for the summer.

        I sow Hispi for summer coleslaw, Minicole for September-December, because it stands for ages without splitting and Tundra which is fully winter hardy.
        Also sow just a few Red Flare for braised red cabbage around xmas-time, and Savoy cabbages for dark winter greens when I fancy them
