  • broad beans are flowering

My broad beans ate about 30cm tall and are starting to flower.
Isn't it a bit early and are they a bit small?
I've not grown much before so I have no idea, we are currently having a hot snap here (southampton)

My Autumn sown Aquadulce are getting ready to flower and they're only little.
Depends on variety and when sown, Sam.

Sam - I could not have said that better myself. Me and radish have a love hate relationship. I love eating them and they hate growing for me. Hey Ho!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

They are beautiful flowers and the bees love them.I find my autumn sown Aquedulcia start flowering very early when quite small plants and then just grow up,with the flowers opening and enlarging.
Wait until you pick them, when you can feel the beans properly ,completely different from shop ones and all furry inside the pods!
