  • Bananas!!

    Hey folks!

I am all very new to this gardening caper and have started by sowing some 'normal' seeds e.g. tomatoes, potatoes etc. However curiosity got the better of me when I saw Lavender Beauty Banana Seeds (Musa Ornata) for sale. As a result I bought some and have planted them and they are currently in the propagator with the pots wrapped in cling film.

What I was wandering, I guess, was if anyone has ever tried these (or similar family) seeds and if so what were the results like etc? Were any problems encountered? I anticipate the fact that in northern Scotland a tropical climate is far from regular so this may be a sticking point!

If you can let me know your views etc I would be most appreciative!

    Cheers!
