    Bamboo fertiliser

    Can anyone recommend a good fertiliser to feed my new Phyllostachys vivax 'Aureocaulis' bamboo?

    Bamboo is a grass, so is lawn feed good?

    I have got plenty of Miracle-Gro All Purpose Soluble Plant Food. would that be good for bamboo?

    Where is your bamboo planted? And whereabouts are you?

      I have planted it in a new boarder in the garden and it is not in a container, so it can grow and spread.
      I am in the midlands

        Does it need a feed? We've never fed any of our grasses.

          I thought Bamboo grew and spread whether you want it to or not. I've never fed my bamboo and it keeps me in beansticks annually

            If it's planted in the border then it shouldn't need feeding. Could you add your location to your profile please?
