| Hello madbrad and welcome to the vine. I was planning to grow sweet peas with my peas as well - think it will look lovely with the pretty flowers. Bernie aka Dexterdog

| Hi Madbrad I've got my broad beans and peas in the same bed and my sweet peas and eating peas all together. The OH was a bit afraid we'd have trouble telling them apart but I was convinced the pods looked very different when a friend grew both last year. The sweepea pods were all furry and the peas (seeds?) inside looked much smaller. It may have been just the varieties she was using, but I hope not!

| They are very different. However, you'll be picking all the sweetpeas in flower won't you - to get a continuous supply! (I missed some last year and I agree, the fluffy sweetpea pods couldn't really be mistaken for edible peas. Anyway, as soon as I spotted a sweetpea pod it came off.)

| Have you ever seen a fluffy mangetout? I don't think I'd fall for it.
