  • A rose for Christmas

Some years ago I was walking into town (the pub of course) and on route there was a lovely pink rose bush on the side.
Next time I took a plastic bag with some damp tissue and appropriated a cutting.
Planted it up and eventually located it in a tub on the corner of the house.
It went wild, huge display of pink roses. Seems to be a climber of sorts.
I have my suspicions it has broke out of the tub and gone down into the drain near by, not good but it likes it.
This year I trimmed it back but left any flowers that weren't rose hips.
Sat in my arm chair when I notice in the sun the attached picture.
Wonder it it will continue to Christmas?

Yes I knew I would get some ribbing for this.
The only thing I can say is that it was FREE, I never look a gift horse in the mouth as they say.
Also there is not much veg I could grow where it is.
