  • Sowing Herbs indoors in winter

Having a herb seed sort-out and there are several that can be sown all year.

So far, I've found basil, chervil, chives, coriander, dill and parsley.
At this time of year, I feel the need to play about a bit with seeds so tomorrow, I shall sow a pinch of each and see how they do.

    Anyone else sowing herbs now??
    All advice welcome

Why not? If you've got space. Sowing indoor you shouldn't have to worry about temperature for germination and watering should be fine because you'll be passing them regularly. The only thing I can think might be a problem is light levels but as you're in South Wales you should have plenty of sun (unless something has changed since I left Cardiff)

Definitely not making it up, I remember the sun always shining on city road, we were always sitting outside, enjoying lazy evenings in beer gardens, walking down to the bay for a spot of dinner before enjoying a leisurely walk back up to town for a cocktail before home, never once having to worry about taking a coat or umbrella.
