Yesterday evening, as the sun went down, the trees in the distance glowed orange and yellow. On the hillside to the north, the trees cast long shadows that stretched out across the fields like fingers while, to the south, the city buildings sparkled as the sun touched the windows. The air was so clear, I could see across the Bristol Channel and pick out the houses on the English Coast, bathed in the evening sunlight.
It is, indeed, a glorious time of year and I am very fortunate to be able to enjoy all this without leaving home.
