  • What is flowering well for you at the moment?

I doubt you will believe it but I have a noticeable drop in blooms at the moment and looking back at last years cut flowers I had the same around now.

Dahlias are now coming into their own.
Chrysanths are only now thinking of doing something.
    Tithonia is going strong.

Everything else is bitty or finishing. I am just being nosey and hoping to find some goodies to add to the garden to stop this repeat next year.

Thanks for your help as always.

The Verbena Bonariensis is amazing - lots of flowers and bees
Last year's Begonias and geraniums are still going strong.
Japanese anemones are a mass of flowers - love these
          Lots of hardy fuchsias.
I'm sure there's more but its dark and I have a remembery loss

Dahlias and rudbeckias for me. The rudbeckias seed from last years saving seem to have produced some mutant plants.

Thank you all, that has made things seem so much more promising. Quite a few of those things are just in nursery corner and need establishing and some in the seed tin.

I chucked a few cosmos seedlings in amongst my asparagus, and they are flowering nicely with lots of buds yet to come.

I think we're about a month behind the mainland when it comes to flowers......either that, or I just sowed a lot of my flower seeds rather late this year.

Still got a good variety of plants in bloom - sweet peas, cerinthe, ammi major, chocolate cosmos, clary, alstromeria, penstemon, perennial lobelia, calendula, nasturtium, ox-eye daisy, erigeron kaviniskanus, foxgloves, verbena bonariensis, crocosmia, stock, campanula, convolvulus tricolour and japanese anenomes.

And from the flowers sown from last years seed swap, the scarlet flax, musk mallow, morning glory, striped marigolds, sunflowers, poppies, purple toadflax and cosmos are still all blooming. Also grown from the seed swap were autumn lollipop and dahlias, which are in bud and hopefully about to flower.

Just hope it's a late frost this year.
