  • Argh!

All my allotment toms have blight already. I've had about 8 ripe ones and my outdoor dukes have all been chomped by rats!

but the taste of a half (rat) eaten home grown cucumber can't be beat!

Friends have just lost all their pollytunnel plot toms - there were nearly tears - I think out site is too open and windy for toms so will advise people against trying them unless they are Crimson Crush or Magic Mushroom/Mountain or similar blight resisters...

Its a boogar this gardening malarky... chin up - will be better next year

I feel for you - dreadfully frustrating to lose toms to blight so early. The damp weather isn't helping, although up here the night temperatures are too low for a Hutton period - in fact someone who lives on the North York Moors reported 4.5C last night!
