  • Summer hols?

Just wondering what peeps are planning?
    Anything exciting?

I'm hoping for 2or 3days away...perhaps further south to see a relative and call in at a few more prehistoric sites en route...or up to the coast to do a bit of fossil hunting!

depends on if we have an emergency trip back to the UK to help sort out things with elderly relatives!

My brother is getting married so I'm back to the UK again. My role is to be lollipop lady, escorting the bride over the road to the registry office. My other job while I'm back is to paint my mum's hall.

Wasn't allowed any time off work, so have booked a fortnight in the Canaries in November when there is less pressure on rota.
The plus sides are that allotment won't miss me at that time of year, and weather will be cool enough to allow some hiking trips whilst we're there

Nothing planned we usually just go camping for a few days when ever the weather fine. I don't do all weather camping anymore gone are the days of waking up in a snowy field or one where the tent zips are frozen shut

Our usual trip to Las Vegas in September, it's taken us that long to get over the 10 nights in Disneyland

We have already been on our holiday.
We took a cruise to St. Petersburg with our friends in June.
We will probably go away again before the end of the year.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

(shame the weather isn't a little warmer for paradise)

Call me boring, but I don't want/need to go on holiday any more
I'm happy here, doing my own thing!
Its always sunshiny here so I don't need to find better weather Nor do I have to wait for hours in airports, sit in traffic jams, put the dogs and chooks in kennels, worry about who's watering the GH, buy respectable clothes, make polite conversation or renew my passport which expired about 5 years ago.
                  Yes, I'm boring - but I don't care

it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
