    Harvesting flower seed?

    I have started harvesting flower seeds as because of the weather this year everything has got moving about a couple of weeks earlier.
    So far I have -
    Smrynium perfoliatum
    Cerinthe major purperescens
    Meconopsis cambrica
    Scabious gigantea
    Anyone fancy swapping a few flower seeds?

    On here somewhere there is a Flower Seed Circle someone more informed than I will point you in the direction of it I'm sure..

      Thanks for the info Cadalot. No one seems interested in my offer over in their flower seed section. I will offer them on Freegle or Freecycle

        I've been sent back here by seed circle. Apparently I can only donate next january when the seeds will go in a parcel and circulate.
        Anyway, if anyone wants to swap fresh flower seeds please do pm me.

          You've misunderstood the Seed Circle arrangements, Shushkin!
          Its more of a swap. If 10 people want to join it, at the end of the year (probably November, not next January), each of the 10 people sends in 9 identical packets of seed of each flower that they have saved seeds from.
          All the seeds are redistributed so that everyone has one packet of every seed that has been saved.

          Alternatively, you can swap them into the Flower VSP which will reopen in November, for seeds of your choice.

            And also your title doesn't indicate that you have seeds to swap?

              Shuskin, I can see from your old posts that you've participated in the Seed parcels that used to circulate on here - when parcels were passed from one member to another.
              These were stopped as so many parcels went "missing" en route

              It was before my time here so I don't know the details - just that the decision was taken to create a Virtual Seed Parcel (VSP), held by Zazen, and then by me, which held all the available seeds for swapping.
              The VSP grew so huge that it has been split between several Grapes, who run different sections of the VSP. All the information is in the The Seed Swap

                Yes, I did participate in the seed parcel thing a while back and don't want to do that again. I just wanted to swap seeds with any interested parties.
