  • Gardening mojo back!

Hi all, I used to be on here daily a couple of years ago. I had an allotment for two years but sadly had to give it up due to changes in my circumstances. I was absolutely gutted to give it up and I think I was actually grieving for it. I couldn't face growing anything at home as it reminded me of what I'd lost. Sorry if that sounds melodramatic - but I think you guys would understand.

Anyway, this year my mum gave me a load of young plants in May, and I planted them all up in pots. Something clicked and my garden is full of crops in pots.

Even more exciting is that this weekend we are putting 4 raised beds in at the bottom of the garden.

I'm so happy each morning to go out and wander about my own little plot. I just had to share with people who will understand.

      Welcome back Likac66

Sorry to hear about your allotment, that must've been hard, but I'm glad your 'inner-gardener' has returned!

Hi there! Not much purple at the moment as my mum gave me most of the plants but I have had a seed shopping spree this week that included lots of purple again. Purple carrots, mange tout (probably too late this year but I might pop a few in and see), purple radishes... oh and I have some PSB seedlings at the moment.

I've just sown Mangetout and you should be OK with carrots and radish
            Happy purpling

Hello welcome back,I love going out in the garden all the time too, looking at all the plants & things, its nicer than indoors more freedom like,I've never had an allotment, just my garden. Four raised beds sounds good,if you upload photos here & it fails try cropping them or resize on Microsoft picture manager 800 x 600 document size,a lot of people have had problems but it's easy when you know how.
