  • Look out for caterpillars on your tomatoes

I was fumbling through my tomatoes this morning (as one does) and discovered some caterpillars beginning to do their worst. If like me you forgot to put a net over the doorway to your greenhouse, they're obviously about already. I don't normally expect them so soon.

I grow outdoors and I've already started looking for them and eggs. So far only one clutch of eggs, but it takes a while to check.

I've had them in my friend's greenhouse, but not on outdoor toms.

Ive had them once outside on a container plant,I saw the white egg cluster on the underside of a leaf & didn't know what they'd turn into, kept an eye on them, they hatched into about twenty hungry caterpillars, tiny little things but they eat quite fast!
