To me it looks like either lettuce, chard or spinach the leaves look a bit too floppy for it to be a dock.Location....East Midlands.Comment

Not seen a lettuce with leaves like that myself,could it be a horse radish root,have a look at the side of the root,see what it looks like,a root like a parspip ext,or fine bunchy roots as in lettuce,just be gentle and water the ground after,to settle it back if you keeping it.sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these
