Anyone started planning and writing their winter jobs list ?

    .........it's just me then

Replacing all the wood on the raised beds.
Relaying the floor in the little tunnel ( it's driving me insane ).

    That's it, so far

No, not just you. I have fruit trees and bushes to move when they go dormant. Trying to get a man in to prune my ash tree as well (not easy)

Although this Spring has been a bit hit and miss and I'm supposing that the Summer may end up the same I have made decisions about the over winter period.

I won't be growing any more veggies except bought in toms for the baskets and maybe enough Charlootes for the 4 big tubs.

The raised beds are going to get a flower and fruit makeover and the large planters will become host to the likes of dwarf Victorias, strawbs and any other compact fruit I can lay my hands on.

I think that our veggie days are over.....................and it will be a relief.

That's a shame Lumpy, but we have cut back our veg this year and upped the flowers etc.

            Ta Sal.

Crunching on a mucky carrot or savouring the taste of a spicy radish no longer gives me the joy it once did.
My OH now needs almost constant attention and I have found myself too tired to bask in the glory of the tasty and fresh GYO

That's sad news about your veggie growing days being over lumpy. 100% understandable. As long as you're doing what makes you happy in the spare time you have is all that matters

You see I've added to my list already!
I'll be adding at least one new raised bed.
I'd like to add 2, but a bit of measuring and juggling will be needed.

What, getting a man or pruning the tree?
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
