  • Purple blotched loganberry leaves?

I bought a thornless loganberry last year wich I duly planted out and it produced several 8ft long canes wich I tied in horizontally on my fence. I noticed that the leaves developed purple blotches on them wich are quite large. I left the canes insitue for this year's crop, the plant has retained it's leaves wich have now lost the patches and it's sprouting newer leaves on the old canes but they seem to be slightly purple in the new growth. The new canes are poking their heads out of the ground and they too have a purple tinge. Does anyone know if the colouring is normal or is it a deficiency? They are growing in slightly acidic clay soil

    Hi
    Do you have any pictures?
Feed the soil, not the plants.
