Does anyone know what it could be?

Please ignore the weeds. I am trying to figure out what is growing in the garden before I start getting rid of plants.

Oh no, what are you getting rid of? Can I have it if you don't want it?

I am not getting rid of anything Briony, just trying to identify what plants are growing in my garden before I start weeding.

They're tubers - like potatoes or dahlias. You can split them off the plant and propagate them.

I will keep that in mind. I want to see what it looks like this year. The person who lived here before we moved in has not left any plant labels so I don't know what's what yet.

^^^Please tell me you are not one of those people who leaves g.c. plant labels next to everything. Do you leave price tags on as well?

Sorry - pet hates just take over. I shall go hide

Peonies are gorgeous - I can't grow them here, I'm very jealous.

My memory is rubbish. So I like to know what they are. But I do make sure they are out of site and only I know where the label is hiding.
