It looks like shepherds purse -it's a weed so pull 'em up!

Thanks for the tip on "Sherpherds Purse", I've compared the picture but don't think it's that. The leaves and stems look too thick in comparison, the leaf pattern also looks different.

It could be poppies, I had poppies in that bed last year, but they were different leaves entirely to this lot, so still not entirely convinced. Whatever they are, I've got loads of 'em in the bed!

Looks like a wild Corn Poppy to me. Or it could be an Icelandic Poppy but the leaves look a bit too green for that. What sort of poppies did you have last year?

Agree poppies, but not sure what sort. Have loads. Very pretty yellow or orange long flowering.

Small one bottom lh of bottom pic look like opium poppy.

These are Ladybird Poppies... I grow them myself every year.

They look rather like greater celandine which has been seeding itself all over my garden. It's easy to ID because if you break off a piece of it bright orange sap oozes out, which is said to be a curs for warts. If there's no orange sap then it's probably poppies like everyone else is saying.

Errr, red ones and double-flower pink ones, lol! :-) I know for certain the plant in question is not the same as the poppies I've had before, as those poppies have grown every year for the past 15 years and their foliage is completely different.

I suspect it is a poppy of sorts, the fact there are so many of these plants growing throughout the bed makes me wonder how on earth they got there!

Yup, that small one is definitely an opium poppy, had loads of them growing last year :-)
