If I was to put white fleece sleeves over my gage branches before the Squirrels ate the gages, do you think the gages would carry on ripening or would the Squirrels smell the gages, destroy the white mesh and scoff the gages? (they removed the poly bags, complete with fruit last year)

. On a serious note I'd try something stronger like a wire cage. I'd suggest catch and release elsewhere but it's not legal for Grey's.
