  • Labelling...

Thought I was getting better at labelling seeds/plants. This is a strange looking Summer Cider tomato. Suggests I need to do better...

Balders get yourself a Brother P-Touch labelling machine see Alans Allotment: Brother P-Touch Label Maker I save and re use them, getting quite a collection now as I try new things each year.

          Brilliant idea. Thank You

I use cheap plastic ones, labelled using pencil, that rub off easily for the next year. However, I couldn't find them when I did my first lot of seed sowing this year so used bits of cardboard, which have got wet and the writing has run.....
            Another happy Nutter...

I use either black or white permanent marker and write on the pot before sowing the seed.

Its on my 'to buy maybe' list as I know you've been raving on about em for a while.
I'll then put it in a cupboard come winter and forget about it and/or run out of batteries for it etc...

I've only just replaced the original batteries on mine, it turns itself off if you don't use it for a while.

Nope, but just happy to recommend something that works, and it does, and even if the labels are out in the elements you can still wipe them clean and put them away for use the following year.

I love my brother labeller. Mine doesn't need batteries, I have the plug in one.

And I found somewhere that sells the cheap replacement cartridges.

I tried loads of different label for my snowdrop collection and the brother ones really work. They stick and they haven't faded yet.

I did buy an adaptor for mine but the batteries last so long and you are not ties to a plug when making them it can be taken to the greenhouse if required.
