According to the square foot rule you can fit 2. So find a large bucket and stick 2 plants in it (that's what I'm doing anyway!)

I use 8 inch pots, and by the end of the year, the routes are all wrapped around the edge.

Hi Rob, like VC, we used flower buckets, you'll see them referred to often on here as MFB's:
            http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...uckets-15.html
You would be looking at 1 plant to the pot however we would cut the bottoms out and sit them onto grow bags, 2 or 3 pots per grow bag depending on what we were growing.

I use the black buckets and just plant one per bucket.

I used 10 litre pots last year and they were fine.

Last year I used grew cucs in 10ltr pots and set them upon self-watering matting with a reservoir they seemed to do fine so I'll be doing the same thing this year.

I grew a cucumber in a potato grow bag in my little tunnel last year

                      It did very well.
I've also heard of growing them I a grow bag. With the grow bag sat on the narrow end so it's like a deep pot.

I like a slightly bigger pot than MFBs for cucs but I have no reasons why...............
