  • Scary Stories, Come and share them :)

Yes its 11.21pm, and its that time of night where you have either started watching gardening vids on youtube and after a hour you're some how on a vid watching a lady getting sweetcorn removed from her ear and wondering hth that got in there. Or like me you have been reading through spooky stories and worked your self up into such a frenzy that your ready for any thing that wanna mess with you during the night yet you are to scared to go to sleep

Have any of you guys had any scary paranormal experiences?

I've had quite a few during my life and shared some with my bf but was wondering if you guys would like to share yours?

If you like I would go first...

Apart from watching Psycho 1 and 2 this last week (no - I wasn't frightened) and, apart from my OH and I reading each other's minds, I have had three experiences that were, shall we say, not scary but a bit strange?
Once worked in a lab converted from an old lunatic asylum and was cleaning-up in the back room when I definitely felt someone coming up behind me, except when I turned around there was no-one there.
Had dinner with some new people at their house and recognised a portrait on their wall, so asked them about it. Apparently I couldn't have seen it before as it was a pic of their son done at Butlin's the previous year.
Got a late-night phone call to say Dad-in-law was dying, so rushed to the hospital with the family. After he died, we all walked out in a line down this long, quiet and empty corridor when I felt someone behind me, so just assumed it was one of us, but there was no-one there and no doors for anyone to have used. When visiting D-I-L, he always escorted us out.
I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!

Oh that's a strange one, you felt anything since?

Well here is just one of many things that has happened, so much has gone on in 32 years I think I'm desensitised ha.

About 5 year ago we moved house in march, it was my idea we needed a new start etc but when moving week came I felt reluctant. The day we moved I was really really ill on the night and honestly thought I was dying! Next day, right as rain! As if it didn't happen?

So after a week of being there and loads of random break downs in the house etc I was settled, knew which way I wanted the house to be etc. Went shopping got the paint for the kids rooms and started decorating, was really happy. A few days later my bf was off for a few days and said he was going to have a drink and play on the commy. The agreement was that he sleeps down stairs when drinking as he is 6"2 and 26 stone (at the time) and he could roll and squash the baby.

Few days later he said "Jen do you feel something in the house?" I'm like "I'm not moving again, neeee way mate!".

Painting my lg room and I loved that room, it was nothing special but it was her first room and I'm going to make it look as nice as possible for her.
I started to feel really tired, even if I just painted or just been up for a hour I needed a nap and the baby would happily comply.

Again few days later bf had a few days off, drinking, commy pizza etc.
While lying in bed the spot light for out side kept coming on and off and I was wondering what on earth he was doing out side. I watched for a little while more and fell asleep.

The next day he says "Jen, that bloomin light kept going on and off and there was no one there nothing triggering it but I felt someone watching me". The garden had a 6 foot fence round so..

I've now started my lb room but just wasn't getting the same warm feeling that I got in my lg room which was right next door. I quickly slapped the paper on the ceiling, painted and tada done.
By now I started to notice the tiredness more and more, I started to get annoyed with myself because I couldn't function at all!

During this time we were talking bout what the feelings were in the house, how the rooms differed and so on.

Again, a few nights later bf off wanted to drink (sounds like a lot of drinking don't it, bare in mind we are 6ish weeks in).
So I hope bed at like 6pm with the baby, fast asleep. Few hours later I woke up to the light on in the bedroom I turned over and looked at the door, to see my massive bf on all fours eye to eye with me white as a sheet shaking, begging me to let him sleep in the room on the floor. He was steaming drunk so it must of been in the AM.
I begrudgingly said yes knowing I would have to put up with his calling out during the night.

The next day I was furious, when he got up I was like "wth?"

He said he had been sitting playing on the commy and the light came on and went off, happened about 7 times, the last time it came on and a hedgehog was walking by and thought ok, you know it's just an animal. He got up and switched the light off at the mains, went back to playing on the commy. It all of a sudden became really pressured in the room, but shrugged it off after about 5 mins he heard a click and with it being a new house, he didn't know where it come from. So sitting on the commy for a bit and the spot light came on! He said I instantly became sober, I was terrified so I ran upstairs.

Although I could feel something in the house it didn't effect me so I wasn't bothered, he said he was going to move out it was that bad!

So we agreed to move when we could.

A few nights later I'm drifting off to sleep and "the man" came to me again calling my name. He has been with me since before I could remember and has only ever said my name.

In my dream he came to me, he said there was something in the house and it wasn't pleasant. That when I went to sleep it lay on top of me and fed off me and that was how it was growing and the reason why I was so tired!

When I woke up I thought well that would explain things....

We were in the house less than three months and moved!

The man came to me again in the July and called my name but I was knackered from work and moving that I told him to go away he has never returned.

One of many but that was the "worst" latest one.

Come on you guys, share the craziness

Mmmmh! I was a complete sceptic about ghosts until I saw one. We lived in a large old farmhouse and had a dog called Lollie, a Labrador collie cross. She developed cancer on her leg. It was operated on twice but when it came back again there wasn't enough skin left to sew together so the only option was to amputate the leg or put her to sleep.

As she'd spent her life running free on a large farm she wasn't going to have any form of quality life so I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her sleep. She died in my arms and I took her home wrapped in her favourite blanket.

My husband buried her under a beautiful old apple tree in the garden. Later that day as the sun was setting I was sitting in the lounge when I was aware of something/someone at the window. There was Lollie with her front paws on the windowsill. She looked as if she was wondering why she was outside. This went on for several evenings gradually fading each time.

The odd thing about it was that it wasn't where you'd expect to find her. She loved being out in the yard on the other side of the house, watching the farm work going on, or out in the fields with someone. The only time she'd be in the garden was when I was out there.

In this house there are noises as if someone is walking across the front bedroom floor. Things go missing and then appear later somewhere they'd never normally be. And the last few nights after I've gone to bed there has been the noise of a dog walking around on the landing. Exactly the same noise my two make. It's not either of them as they are on the bed with me.

I'm not scared of ghosts. The ones I've encountered seem to be benign.

Just four more but not my experiences. When my sister got married, two of my sanest relatives saw our late dad standing between them in the church. She was his favourite daughter.
My OH's aunt and uncle used to work in an old farmhouse on one of Paul Getty's estates in Berkshire and were the most down-to-earth people you could meet. One night they both agreed there was something in the house because aunty suddenly said "Oh - there goes my lady" whereupon uncle said "Oh - you've seen her too." No-one was in the house at the time but they both saw a shadow of someone passing by their door because the hall light was on and the light underneath the door was disturbed, plus there was a rustling noise just like a silk dress would make.
The next one is also from the same sort of person who was also my boss. He had some friends round for dinner and happened to look out the window when he saw their opposite neighbour (an old woman) dancing on the lawn, so he went out to find she had died earlier that day.
The last one is again from a sane person who used to work in an X-Ray department and went back for a visit. On the way down the corridor she met a previous colleague and, during their chat, this person said "There's been a lot of changes here recently." When she arrived at the department she discovered this person had died a while ago.
I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!
