  • New Allotment holder in Aberdour, Fife

Hi all, just posting this topic as I'm quite excited about an allotment I've just been allocated in Aberdour, Fife.

I've not even seen it yet as I'm currently away for the week.

    I believe it's a good starter size at 48 sq m.

I've grown potatoes, strawberries and tomatoes in my garden before, but mostly in bags/pots due to lack of space.

I'll post pictures of it when I'm back home and any newbie advice would be appreciated!

    Can't wait to get started!

Welcome to the vine Andy, congrats on your allotment, this is where the work starts. Spent loads on my first plot but second was "cheap as chips'. Enjoy it but don't hurt yourself trying to compete with seasoned allotmenteers.

                        Hi all,

I can't wait to get started. I've not even seen it yet as I'm down in Manchester until next week.

What I do know is it was last used in November 2016 so hopefully in good condition.

There's only 14 plots in the allotment so should be quite cosy.

I'll post pictures of it when I finally see it!

Hi there, forgot to give a welcome from me, hope you have many years of fun with your new plot.

Everyone likes pics on here so just remember your phone when you go down to see it, unlike myself who usually forgets and then decide to take a photo of my progress and remember its still at home. helps to convince you that you are getting somewhere after all that toil as well.
