    I have been watching Qvc today has anybody used this Richard Jackson's 5kg Premium Natural Fertiliser thinking of buying this for the garden

    I don't buy things from qvc,I like watching it for about five minutes just to see how excited they can get about their next product,looking at the reviews people say it's easy to use etc... I've never come across a difficult to use fertiliser,I use blood,fish & bone it lasts a long time,its natural & cheaper than qvc,my plants grow well with bfb so I wouldn't change.
    I just found this 10kg tub for £10.45 compared to qvc 5kg for £14.48,p&p is £1 more expensive with qvc..

      I've just looked at some reviews on other gardening forums and it comes across as being way too expensive for what it does.
      Also it seems to be high in potash which is good for fruit and flowers so you'd need to be selective where you use it.
      Might be cheaper/ better to use fish/blood /bone and use comphrey tea to get similar results?

      Never used it, so can't comment personally

        It's pretty run of the mill bog standard ferteliser, yes I've used it, didn't buy it by the way, as it is far too expensive for what it is, would much prefer to nip to my local B n M and purchase a large tub of poultry pellets, large tub of seaweed pellets and a large box of sulphate of potash, all within the 15 quid spent on this and can adjust accordingly to the plants your wanting to feed wether it be lush green growth for the likes of brassica's (Poultry Pellets) Juicy Strawberries (Seaweed and potash) or big fat running down ye chin tomatoe juice! (Potash) Oh dreaming of it now, n only just in Feb!

            You don't need trace elements if you have normal UK soil. You need healthy roots and good soil life to help the plant get access, fancy elements will ad nothing that isn't already present. ChIcken poo and seaweed are well established as plant foods. Just make quality compost and add leaf mould to your soil. Far better and costs now but effort.
