  • The Herb Seed Circle 2017

Trying something a little different for 2017.

Save some herb seeds - 2 varieties if you can - and tell us how you use these herbs in cooking or in other ways around the home or garden.

    Unusual herbs very welcome!

    Anyone interested?

VC is OUT of this one.

    1. Happyhumph - Driveway parsley
    2. Superkeengarden - Siam Queen Thai basil
    3. Scarlet
    4. Planetologist - Alexanders, Lovage, Marjoram
    5. Vixylix

Sounds good - I will happily offer my driveway parsley - smells nice when you drive over it in summer - it's quite literally flat-leaf sure I can find something else as well.
    Another happy Nutter...

I can give siam queen Thai basil. It's really delicious in pasta. But I am not allowed in this circle because I joined just couple of days ago and haven't reached 50 posts yet.

As long as you've made your 50 posts before the Circle closes at the end of 2017, you can join in, SKG

Like the sound of siam queen thai basil. Have ordered some coriander & cutting celery so should hopefully have some of that to offer.

ooh I am highly skilled at saving coriander seed!

I have loads of different types of basil so if someone can guide me how on earth to get it to seed I am in!

I have alexanders and marjoram ready. The lovage may have to be (or include) last years' seeds, because it seems to have had quite some competition from the marjoram, chives, alexanders, horseradish and broad beans that were growing around it.

I have garlic chives that have seeded but the seed pods have disappeared ...I've saved about half a dozen seed there are more there but they aren't dry yet! I will bag up and fingers crossed.

Flat leaf parsleyhas set seed but not ready yet.
