We get sea bass in the estuary where I stay in West Wales - its a bass nursery
My imagination runs riot thinking of all these little bass, in their nursery, playing games, learning to read and write..............sorry, I'll go now

Just signed. Overfishing has been going on for years. I can remember my meagre catches off Worthing pier.
I used to throw pollock back but I see they are now pushing this fish.

I do dispair at the fishing policy or rather utter lack of that we have.
It seems to always be to fish to and then beyond the point of collapse, and deny everything all the time. Many sea anglers talk of a fair haul of codling when fishing but codling are young cod so we are thinking that catching them young now is a good and acceptable idea.

Australia had one good approach, they caught a ship fishing illegally, took the crew off and aimed a 4" gun at the ship and used it for target practise, they blew it up. As the Australian fisheries officer said: That should deter a few.

The law said they they could confiscate the ship, so they did, then used it for target practise.
