  • Point of order

Forgive me, I'm fairly new here - though it may not feel like it. So the following question may have been asked before but...
is there a limit to the number of consecutive months that a MOM can be a MOM? Or is it a bit like a (corrupt) South American presidential term of office?
    Just asking. No particular reason...

As far as I'm aware ( also quite new to everything ) there is no consecutive MOMing. MOM can happen repeatedly but not consecutively.

Normally a Mom is only a Mom for that month but Admin usually change the Mom over to co-incide with the magazine publication (or something like that ) so it often doesn't happen at the beginning of a new month. As far as I know, we have had the same Mom go for two months running but that was a one off.

The award is usually given for one month only as there is a shortlist of MoMs to be
When they've received the banner they get removed from the shortlist. Moms are awarded the banner for true community spirit, great gardening advice, enthusiasm etc. The Moms are usually nominated by another grape.
Although we have had several grapes that have received the MoM title several times..

That could have been a posthumous award as Supersprout passed away suddenly about then.

                No corruption baldy!

Each of our moms have been put forward by grapes ...then prioritised...then, in association with Admin, are selected.
It's fairly fluid, but we have a constant shortlist...and any suggestions are more than welcome

Every momship is very much deserved, and well earned...for various reasons!

So...more suggestions?...just pm any of us Mods...
