    Anyone here a musician?

    Gardening certainly takes me away from my problems and then there is music too! Anyone here a musician? I'm not really a singer or performer. I once wrote a song about slugs and how they ate my basil.
    I'm going to do a competition on facebook/ youtube at some point offering a prize to anyone who performs one of my songs the best. My own version might be the worst. In the mean time anyone want to impress us with any musical links to any of your own work?

      There are many who would disagree with me being a musician! But I've been in bands singing and guitaring since school (over 40 years ago now).
      These days I hardly gig into double figures in a year compared to the once twice or three times a week of my 20s and 30s. Never much into home recording since the days of Teac portastudios and 4 track tapes.
      Locally there tends to be a reasonable sized group of musicians that meet 2-3 times a year to just jam with each other on a sunday afternoon. That nice as we get to see old friends and faces from our past that are still alive....just.

        Been playing the guitar for eight years now, daughter bought me one for my 50th never having played before but always wanted to take it up but never had the gumption to buy one, best thing I've done in a long time, learned a lot from you-tube and basically just taught myself and practised a lot, but admit to driving my wife crazy at times.

        I can carry a tune at a party but that's my limit!

        Stuck in the middle with you.
        American Pie.
        Space oddity, and stuff along those lines.
