    Seed tape

    Hello All

    Hope you have all had a good season on the plot.

    I am just getting my seed order in and wondered if anyone has used seed tapes. Are the any good? What is germination like? Good value for money? Or are they just for growing in straight lines - which I'm not too bothered about. I usually have a job jetting carrots to germinate so wondered if seed tapes would be a better choice and if so, any tips?

    I used tapes for both carrots and parsnips this year. The carrots were OK but most if not all of the parsnips germinated.

    I love the tapes but it's a shame they do do them in more varieties

      Look for the thread that BM posted about making your own seed tapes, or wait till someone who know how to put the link in comes along

          The solution to that Lumpy is to make your own with varieties that you prefer. Many examples demonstrated on YouTube (usually unnecessarily wordy but you'll quickly pick up the gist of how to do it). Here's some links:
