I've just come inside for a coffee having dug up a small clump of lilies I want to relocate. The original bulbs are now the size of oranges but there are also are lots and lots of smaller bulbs ranging from the size of a small fingernail to the the size you would expect when buying lily bulbs. They were only planted two years ago so they have had only two summers of flowering. I was not expecting such an abundance of bulblets.
I have two questions please -
Do I let all these bulbs dry out and plant later on in the year or should I replant them almost immediately.
Secondly, is it worth planting these new young bulbs especially the smaller ones or are they years away from flowering?
