Ooooh, well done MrsW...!!! Could've been far, far worse if you'd not taken any action ...!

My experience with 'hunky firemen' was a tad disappointing ...... We had to call the brigade out at work because of an incident involving me (!!!) - a heater - and a rogue sheet of paper .....

After a 20 minute wait, up rocked the oldest fire tender you can imagine and three 'non-hunky' firemen, bless 'em, who looked like they could be old enough to be the Grandad's of 3 young hunky firemen ...... dragged out the offending smoking heater ......

      Well done you.

I remember the fire service being called out at school. All the girls lined up against the side of the corridor to ogle the firemen. Some rather nice ones there, but it was the less 'fantasy' firemen who winked & smiled.....

Well done Mrs W................and since we're on Firemen stories.............
Our local fire brigade will come to your home to fit smoke detectors so I asked them to fit some here.
At the appointed hour, a hooooooge fire engine pulled up outside and all the neighbours came out to see whose house was burning down! They were well impressed when I told them they'd come to fit smoke detectors - and so was I.
I thought they'd come in a little van!

I was burning garden rubbish a couple of years ago and one of the old dears in the old peoples home behind me called the fire brigade thinking my house was on fire. No hunky firemen, just one nice firelady.

Oh Mrs. Wadders - why didn't you have a sudden fainting fit so they could have given you a fireman's lift?

Ha Ha, if i'm honest I didn't even think about it, even forgot to take a selfie! We have been on a seasonal caravan pitch since march and have grown very fond of the woods so in all honesty I was just worried as what could happen if he fire did get a hold......

Still I have the memory, caused quite a stir when they dropped me back at the site, felt like a celebrity!

Your prompt action may have saved many animal lives and your gift for you actions was an absolute doosie.........Oh firemen what is it about the uniforms?
