  • back in the land of internet signal!!

Just thought i'd pop in and say a quick hello
We've spent 90% of the summer in deepest, darkest Suffolk and haven't been able to get a decent signal so haven't been able to post anything as it was soooooooooo slow!!!
We're back now, although still away every weekend. Hope everyone's had a good summer.
I've had very mixed results, came back mid-August to some lovely yellow marrows - eldest forgot to pick the courgettes! My runner beans have so far been non-existant,first lot got snailed/slugged , 2nd lot first lot of flowers dropped, look like they may have managed to set a few pods now,so might still get some. Have got lots of ripe toms in the GH although a few have split - will put them in a chutney along with the marrows! Outside toms are just turning so looking good and fingers crossed no sign of blight yet.
Onions looking good, carrots still pretty pathetic, brussels,,cabbage fell victim to the dreaded caterpillers although they do look like they are going to recover.

Anyhow enough rambling, it's nice to be back - although not at work!:

We did indeed have a wonderful summer, I shall bore you all rigid with some pics of the beautiful Suffolk/Norfolk countryside and coast when I get some sorted out. One of the highlights was seeing 9 seals when we went to Brancaster beach, they obviously knew people were watching them and put on quite a performance!

Welcome back Mrs W and we know we love looking at photos, especially animal ones. We saw a couple of seals at Chapel st Leonards earlier this summer sadly no photo though.
