  • Hi guys

So I gues I should do an introduction.....

I'm a student in the midlands but live in the west country (oo arr)

Been growing chillis for the last few years and have roughly 35-40 chilli plants....
Looking to make my own sauce this year, should be fun.....
my parents lso grow fruit and veg, so naturally the garden is always jam packed..... just over 22 tomato plants this year. Salads, cucumbers, runner beans, the usual.

    Got

Couple of DIY vertical gardening ideas for you guys.... House guttering and Two bits of wood makes a neat stand when nailed to the fence. Never had a slug this way.

Bags with bush tomatoes growing down: Worm bags (Plastic mesh bag, what worms are sold in in most fishing tackle stores) with a cable tie holding them to the post. Radishes in the top, tomatoes in the bottom. Soil dries quickly.

Welcome to the forum, you doing well with the lettuce, the gutter idea is used also for starting peas in,just slide out into a pre-made shallow ditch, when you have time to look around the threads, you will find more ideas than you can shake a stick at,but i do like your take on things, plus if it gets a bit chilly later on,it's easy to wrap some cover over them, fleece, polly ext,

Sorry I am so late saying 'hello' but you will, after a course of injections get used to me.

About 11 types at the moment, Hoping to take part in the seed swap once I'm able to to get some different varieties I'm quite active on r/hotpeppers

Used to a lot as a kid, so tend to find crossover uses. Fresh water, did a lot of matches but don't go very often at all anymore

I'm very much into the frugal aspect...... I get old ice cream tubs for free from work which work nicely as pots....Guttering is always great, and I'm always turning old soft drink bottles into greenhouses for the spring.
