What is a good way to learn to identify weeds?

Start by learning to identify plants from a good field guide.
Not all the plants will be weeds and not all "weeds" are undesirable. To me a "weed" is any plant growing in the wrong place that can't be found a home somewhere else in the garden.

Pay attention and don't be too quick to pull them up Books and searching the net when they pop up is good and when you get really stuck take a pic and ask on here. Even paying attention to roots when you dig over soil helps.

If you have friends or neighbours who are keen gardeners in your area ask them to show you what weeds they have to deal with - will give you an idea what ones are prominent in your area

Build a wall - and get the weed to pay for it.

There are loads and loads of sites on t'internet showing seedlings of 'weeds'.
You will have a very small proportion of those depending on your soil type, location and micro climate

Always a good place to start looking
