  • our new adventure ?? allotment!!!!

    weve taken the plunge thought id share it with you all our allotment
    its 120ft x 16ft and its a mission the grass was above my waist but still we took it on
    here are a few photos of how it was and after we rotavated it
    sorry if photos are wrong way round i blame iphone

      tractor apart,you got there lad,good luck with the plot and all that grows on it,are going to plant some over wintering onions,that will give you something not only to eat,but nurture,
      sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these

        Erm, can I ask - did you sort out the docks, nettles, bindweed and other perennial weeds BEFORE you rotivated?

          Congratulations on your new plot Dru. A freshly cleared plot like that will burst with weed seedlings after the first rain but keep hoeing them off or cover with mulch and look forward to some lovely proper tasting fresh veg.

              thank you all for your comments , all i have done this last week on this is rake and rake all the weeds glass rubbish etc out of this allotment ,also the old looking shed has had a couple of coats of paint a new felt roof and guttering and been moved to her new part on here
              here are some update photos ... enjoy
              now in place is a new fence down the one side and at the end ,to stop the kids from coming in and wrecking the place,as they have been seen throwing fruit on these allotments now been reported
