Oh dear, I'm really sorry to see this.

Some gardens here are totally overrun by them - they must breed during the twilight hours. I admit to having one, he's very old and no trouble. probably sleeps all day at his age.

If you come across any of these pests, perhaps you could parcel them up and send them back gnome

My wife has one in a flower bed. I just adore the little rascal. I need to put one in the vegetable garden but I know that I won't stop at just one or two.

Of course this has only happened since the closure of their main employer - British Gnome Stores.
Spring hoeing related accidents are a major drain on their medical care organisation - the National Elf Service

Of course, they're only a problem if they get out of hand, as is the case with any 'unwanted' plant in the wrong place .....
I wouldn't encourage the habit of common or garden gnome-growing ....... as, like ivy, if left to their own devices, will totally overrun the typical family garden....
                    Use with caution..............!

They are often found lurking near ponds. This is because they're amphibious

Introducing Gareth the Only Gnome. I'm not sure whether he's Irish 'cos of the green hat. I can't ask him, he's gone for a wander somewhere on the plot - up to no good I expect.
