I'm considering going to another garden show . Recommendations please .
At the moment I'm considering the Harrogate Autumn show and the Malvern show. What do you think ? I know very little about either

I've been to the Malvern Spring Show - not that that helps! Its the only garden show I've been too apart from the RHS Cardiff Show. My memory of it..........so big and I only have little legs.
I think it depends on what your interests are 'cos a lot of the exhibitors are trade stands and the same at every show.

Thanks VC, that ticks one of the required boxes. Trade stands are good, one of my main reasons for going is to buy things for my garden .
Just wondering how veggie garden orientated either would be or is it all flowery things ?

I think the Harrogate autumn show is one of the big 'giant veg' competition shows so I expect there would be a few veg growers there. I'm sure I've read on here that bearded bloke has been there so hopefully he'll see this thread

Hi Sp As spamvindaloo said ^^ it's deffo the show to go to for giant veg, last time I went there was a dedicated marquis, the flowers halls are marvellous, trade stands abound, there's plenty of places to eat & drink, carpark is HUGE & fully tarmaced, in fact I can't think of a negative to the show itself

The only down side was the B&B which turned out to be on a very busy main road in the town, so very little sleep, we had intended (& paid in advance) to stay another night & take a steady drive home but Mrs.BB was that tired & angry that after the show drove back straight

So my advice would be, be careful to check the location of accomodation & deffo order your tickets in advance (there is a seperate gate for prepaid, the line is both shorter & faster moving.

I have also been to Malvern, they are both good in their own way, but if I had to chose only one it would have to be Harrogate, it's a bit more driving time for me but more inline with my interests.

Thanks BB. That's very helpful. The Harrogate show does sound good. Thanks for advice on B&B. I'm still not sure if it will happen but if it does, I know which one we're going to
