Talk to the plot holder. If you are not fussed about colours/types you can grow from seed. If there are particular ones they might be nice and do some cuttings for you.Comment

It depends a bit on where you are. Down here in the South East most of them survive the winter in the ground. A few die but that's the same if I lift them, dry them off and try and look after them. If I lived somewhere colder but with reasonable winter drainage, I'd still leave them out there but I'd put a layer of protection on top to keep the worst of the frost off; straw or leaves/twigs or something.Originally posted by Nicos View PostAs far as I am aware , they should be lifted every AutumnComment
