    I stated this spring planting veg in containers to get an idea of how to grow things. I didn't want to dig up the garden I like to let the grandkids play on it,, things I have harvested.... lots of spinach, Swiss chard ,kale, salad leaves, strawberries, courgettes, cucumbers, beans, carrots herbs, things not ready yet six containers of spuds cabbages, butternut, chilli's are ready. sweet pepper very small, aubergines are small, I may of left one or two out but I am very pleased with my self

    Sounds like you've done really well. Growing things is rewarding and especially growing things you can eat
    LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

        Thank you, next year will be less expensive now I have lots of containers and a compost heap, we went plant based (Vegan) in November last year due to health reasons, so growing veg seemed a good idea but I am really loving it,

              Well done you,i have envy this year of lots on here,are you entering anything in the VVS,have a bed or 2 or cutouts in the lawn,instead of flowers have veg,very satisfying growing your own good luck.

                  Isn't it great Sue, like you this is my first year and every day we are eating home grown veg, I have even made some jam and this week am making chutneys. Just call me and my hubby Tom and Barbara Good
