  • Pea query

Hi folks I have just picked the last peas Hursts greenshaft, It is the fist time I have grown them and have been a bit disappointed with some of the pods, I have attached a photo and wondered if anyone could tell me why 50% of the pods ended up as they did thanks

It looks as if it might be the same thing that happened to mine - snails have grazed the outside of the pods in places, stopping them growing Grrr

the second one looks like thrips to me (did you notice any small, dark bugs on them? Although they may have done the damage and left already) If it was thrips, they'll have weakened the foliage and the pods, they leave a sort of silvery blemish on the foliage.
