  • Greenhouse cucumbers- how long each plant continue crop

I have 2 pots (3 plants each & 40 to 50L size) giving me one or two cucumbers each day from last 2 weeks or so.

another 3 pots slightly smaller ones is yet to crop.

How to prolong or get better crop from all of these? at the moment my green house is bit of crowdy so put cucumber pots along 3 sides of GH (N,S,W)been watering 2 or 3 times a week. and an occational feed.

shall I remove one plant from the pot to help the rest?

How do you water them? They like a good drink everyday, but not around the stem you probably know about stem rot,we always talk about it The carmen F1 in my house have about 200ml of water twice a day,I water them from below & they're in 8 or 10litre pots, they quickly drink the 200ml. I give them a seaweed feed quite regularly & a tomato feed for the fruits once a fortnight.
Edit to add - I think they've got enough space,as long as there's sufficient water, the more plants in the pot the quicker they'l dry it out.

They'll also need plenty of feeding. 3No plants per pot will take a lot of food and starving plants will soon weaken.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

For my "Tupence" worth, I would never grow more than one plant per pot, 10 Ltr as suggested is about ideal, Water from the bottom only, which is why I tend to use my "Autopot" setup for the Cuc's alone, that way it helps to eleiviate "Neck Rot" or "Harry Kari" in terms of cucumbers!

Planted an a ridge also helps tremendously!

But yeah! As others have said, they are greedy plants when in full swing, so lot's of feed, and if ya get it right, expect 30 to 40 fruits per plant, which is why I never plant any more than two!

As "Lottie" says they'll keep going till the cold sets in, having said that, my years been a total "Washout" So I wouldn't listen to a single thing I have just said! ........

I usually get cucumbers until the end of September in my unheated greenhouse. As others have said need to feed them and keep watering.
