  • Buying fruit plants/bushes/things

I was looking at gooseberry, cranberries and others etc in bq but they are small (for parents garden In Pots? )
Question is how long do they take to establish for mum to benefit from fruits?
    I don't have fruits so

When a child they had apple trees, pears, damsons, plums, raspberries .
Needs to be easy to deal with. Will they need netted?
    Thanks

This is only my personal opinion but I would never buy fruit bushes from B&Q the two main reasons being high prices and poor quality.
How long till you have fruit - I bought gooseberry bushes and currant bushes online last autumn. The two gooseberry bushes are covered in fruit as I type but not yet ripe. As for the currant bushes - I enjoyed a dish of black currants this very afternoon.

      Thanks Cheops .
I wouldn't have bought from there but gave me thoughts on size.
I don't want to attract wasps though . So undecided yet.

Container gardener, Currants and gooseberries are beginning to ripen now which is too early to attract wasps.

cherries fruit to early for wasps and I find wasps won't bother with mid to late varieties of apple.
